From Phoenix to The Mountain Ranch

Welcome to Phoenix!

OUCH!
Today we went to the Arizona State Museum.  We saw the government office that now is the museum.  One of the most interesting things that I saw in the Arizona museum was the Roosevelt dam that used to be used for the water storage in the state of Arizona.   Another interesting sight was a piece of a battle ship which was capsized by the Japanese airplanes on Pearl Harbor.  It was a great experience for me and I hope to come back to the museum in the future.

The Hole in The Rock

Today we went to the hole in the Rock in the Botanical Gardens in Pheonix.  We took a lot of pictures of the beautiful formation.  There is a variety of different vegetation: cacti, palm trees, and other trees, in the middle of which was a beautiful lake.  Rising from all of that are different huge boulders which we climbed.  We climbed one with a hole in the middle, and took a lot of pictures when we finally reached the top.  It was a spectacular view of that part of Pheonix but we were happy to return to the bus because it was 101 degrees outside!

We hung out in the mall for a couple hours and it was quite fun. We shopped, ate lunch, and found things that we otherwise would not find in our home countries.  Since I arrived in the US in August, I have been dreaming of purchasing cowboy boots.  Since Arizona is a “Wild West” state, it was a perfect place to purchase the cutest cowboy boots ever!
